Owners/Captains Scott and Megan Carden

Scott and Megan became the owners of Island Express Charters in August of 2017. They both have 15-20 years of experience working on small passenger vessels, private yachts and aboard the high speed ferry the Victoria Clipper. After having their two girls, Sailor and Piper, Scott and Megan were looking for a new business venture where they could put their experience to work in a place they could both come home at the end of every day and raise their family together. They are excited to be a part of and contribute to the local community.

Captain Tyler McKeen

Tyler was born and raised in Anacortes, Washington and has spent his life exploring the San Juan Islands and beyond into the Salish Sea. Tyler obtained his captains license while in college to work for a local fishing charter company during the summers. Since then he has worked several maritime jobs, and is excited to have joined the Island Express team in February 2020. Tyler enjoys family life on his days off, he is married and has one daughter at home and a son on the way!

Captain Brittany Beaugez

Brittany was born and raised in the South where she met her husband who joined the military, which eventually brought them to the beautiful state of Washington. Brittany worked as a deckhand for four years before deciding to get her captain's license and joined the Island Express team in March of 2021. On her time off she enjoys hiking and exploring the beautiful PNW with her pup and her friends.

Deckhand Brayden Davis

Brayden was born and raised in Anacortes Washington, and has been out on the water on his dad's boat ever since he was a toddler. In his free time, Brayden loves to hunt and fish, go hiking and backpacking, travel, or just be in the great outdoors. Brayden is currently a junior at Anacortes High School. Brayden spent 3 years being a Deckhand at a recreational fishing charter company, and then he joined the Island Express Team in June 2020.

Deckhand Kyle Jones

Kyle returned to his home town of Anacortes after serving in the Army where he was a parachute rigger for four years. He is an avid outdoorsman, enjoying duck hunting, fishing and camping. Kyle also works as a deckhand for a recreational fishing charter company in Skyline.
